Proverbs 31:10-31 is an ALPHABETIC ACROSTIC. What is an alphabetic acrostic? It is a literary device using the letters of the alphabet in order to begin verses (or a portion of a verse or collection of verses). In addition to making the points easier to remember, it also implies a comprehensive or “A-Z” treatment of a particular topic.
